The idea for this modern dim sum restaurant came one night at Nobu. Founder Kurt Zdesar was Nobu’s general manager at the time. He ordered dim sum for a staff party and was taken with the speed and simplicity with which the food was prepared – all it took was steam. There and then, a successful restaurant concept was born.
We were involved with Ping Pong at the start – from creating the original London restaurant (it broke even in just two months) to rolling out new concepts around the world including Dubai, Washington D.C. and São Paulo. We also designed a Point of Sale for Ping Pong’s take-away sub-brand, NOW. Working with Ping Pong has given everyone at MACH a great deal of satisfaction – and a few extra kilos.
