When luxury leather goods brand MCM wanted to refresh its image, MACH worked with its new creative director, German designer Michael Michalsky, to develop a new boutique concept for Berlin.
The furniture played a central role in this concept, for which MACH developed pieces with basic shapes. However, they revealed surprising and unusual details at second glance. Rhombic-cut mirrors on the back wall of shelving elements created the illusion of a mysterious light source. The interior was enriched with a multi-layered design concept - for example, a gold-colored metal curtain on the back wall of the store consisted of iconic brass logos as found on MCM's famous leather bags.
