The Helvetas store was located in a 19th-century building that would later be transformed between a generic layer of false ceilings and synthetic floors. During the remodel, MACH removed these to bring back the original treasures like the herringbone parquet flooring and high ceilings.
Once the magic of the old building was restored, MACH outfitted the store with timeless birch and fir furniture, bridging the history of the building with the store's modern products. In keeping with Helvetas' worldwide promotion of local craftsmanship, all the furniture was made by carpenters from Zurich.
