Baume & Mercier Watches & Wonders Geneva 2023

Circle, square and dodecagon: These three geometric shapes, inspired by the Baume & Mercier watches, defined the design of their booth at the Watches & Wonders 2023 in Geneva.
A three-dimensional sculpture of the iconic dodecagonal bezel of the Riviera collection was placed at the centre of the booth, as if cut out of the ceiling with the sky above it and stood tilted in a shallow pool of water. The element of water, combined with a wooden floor, natural tones and pebble stones, created a feeling reminiscen of the French Riviera. The exhibition was organised around the central sculpture, with a promenade leading through room-high structures displaying watches in highlighted showcases. The verticality of the structures was emphasised by vertical lighting and shimmering chrome edges. Varying floor level heights divided the stand into different zones, creating a central stage, a lounge area and a press area.
The facade around the booth was created with angled slats that offered a certain degree of transparency from one angle and a closed surface with a rectangular or circular pattern respectively, from another angle.
