Risch Shoemaker's Shop Zurich

Having already co-designed the interior for the Zurich showroom, MACH was commissioned to design the Risch shoemaker's shop in Zurich's Binz creative district.

Covering an area of 70m2, the floor plan organization ensures an efficient workflow for the shoemaker's shop, which combines the shoemaker's workshop with the showroom zone in an industrial atmosphere. Under various layers of synthetic floor, the old parquet floor was uncovered. This, together with painted wood paneling, forms the framework in which Risch shoes can be repaired or new models can be viewed and ordered. The pieces of furniture, made of steel frame structures and dark-stained wooden panels, were designed specifically for the functions of the studio.
