Monocle magazine founder, Tyler Brûlé, asked us to transform the magazine’s new headquarters, Midori House in Central London. The 1960s building retained many of its original Mid-Century Modern features. So we created an interior concept that allowed these remarkable architectural and design elements to shine once more.
For example, we took a decorative motif featured on an exterior wall to design handmade wooden screens that punctuated public spaces throughout Midori House. We also devised the entire interior layout to make the most of the building’s stunning views across a historic local park. Thus rooting a global business and its international staff in the dynamic local community.
