Swisscom Reception Zurich

Location: Zurich

Task: Design, Detail Drawings, Tender Documents, Construction Support

Collaboration: ISS Schweiz AG (Construction Management), Swisscom Corporate Real Estate Management, Swisscom Brand & Strategy

As part of the transformation of working environments, MACH developed, together with Swisscom, a cohesive concept for the redesign of entrance areas across corporate locations throughout Switzerland. In Zurich, the concept was carefully embedded within an existing architecture with a distinct character, reinforcing its spatial identity.

The 370 m² reception hall at the P51 site is defined by an existing counter positioned beneath a double-flight staircase. The complex geometry of the space is deliberately taken up, clarified, and translated into a calm and representative spatial composition. A vertically articulated backdrop strengthens the spatial framework and gives the reception a clear presence. Warm, natural materials shape the atmosphere, creating an inviting and high-quality sense of arrival. Greened seating elements complement the space, offering intuitive areas for waiting and informal stay.

The inner face of the staircase is accentuated through a precise color concept and integrated lighting. A new wooden handrail completes the intervention. Together, these elements form a clear spatial gesture that encourages movement, provides orientation, and makes the brand subtly perceptible in everyday use.
