The Victorinox Store in Andermatt was MACH's first project in Andermatt. The store opened in 2018 and is located on the first floor of the "Wolf" house by Müller Sigrist Architekten, on Gotthardplatz. The design of the building is based on the alpine architecture of traditional houses and features a pitched roof and a solid base made of exposed concrete, combined with natural ventilated larch shingle facade. The materialization of the facade plays together with Victorinox's material concept.
The theme of "Swissness" can also be seen in the Victorinox sales interior. A high-quality Swiss Made interior design meets quality Swiss Made Victorinox products. On a sales area of 120 m2 Victorinox presents its entire product range, including an extensive selection of Swiss Army Knives, including a station for personalizing a pocket knife, luggage, travel accessories and perfumes.
The focus of this store has been the cooking theme, with a large kitchen area with an integrated show kitchen. In this space it´s possible to hold cooking events and workshops.
