The Penthouse Edelweiss project in Andermatt is a fusion of nature-inspired design and alpine luxury. The design is inspired by the multi-faceted surfaces of crystals and translates this phenomenon into a three-dimensional architectural language. Upon entering the penthouse, the concept of the mountain crystal, which has been seamlessly integrated through innovative architectural elements, becomes apparent through the interplay of light and space.
As you make your way through the living spaces, the crystal-inspired motifs are accentuated by a harmonious blend of natural materials and various lighting compositions. The flooring of the penthouse reflects the geometry of the crystals and features lines and facets that run through the different rooms and surfaces. The bedrooms focus on privacy and each features a cozy wooden niche by the window, providing a quiet retreat while creating a visual connection to the surroudning alpine landscape.
The open kitchen and dining area showcases a combination of materials. Warm light wood tones complement smooth, modern surfaces with textured accents. Together, the various elements create a sense of tactile interaction while providing seamless functionality for contemporary living.
