When an American executive working for Bally bought a small rustic farmhouse, its ancient fireplace was a big attraction. For us, it was an obstacle to creating a modern dwelling rich in heritage, comfort and contemporary design

Our solution was to replace it with a wall-recessed fireplace that was aesthetically attractive, graphically clear and functional. To make the most of the farmhouse’s spectacular views, we devised balcony and internal windows that allowed the nearby lake to be admired from almost every angle.

The use of small grained materials such as bisazza in the bathroom and small board parquet in living areas, made the tiny space feel larger and more tranquil.
