MACH developed the new branch concept for Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank BLKB to express the bank's close relationship with its clientele. The architectural design is intended not only to communicate the personality and values of the regional bank, but also to create an ambience where advisors and customers can meet in a straightforward manner.
Through the use of regional materials and furniture with a personal character, customers find themselves in a landscape that allows for a relaxed exchange with their regional bank. A continuous colored horizon line connects the different banking zones and reflects the colorful diversity of the bank's offerings and brand image. MACH redesigned BLKB's headquarters in Liestal as a pilot project for the new branch design, which was then implemented in all 23 BKLB locations.
For the brand image and branch concept, MACH worked with the Zurich branding agency Branders.
