In 2024, Baume & Mercier began redesigning its global boutique network and commissioned MACH to develop a contemporary and elegant POS concept.
The new concept was created in close collaboration with Baume & Mercier’s creative team. Rooted in the brand’s watchmaking tradition, it translates the brand’s core values – a balance between design, craftsmanship, and innovation – into a spatial experience.
Beige and champagne‑gold tones, complemented by deep blue accents, define the identity. Textured surfaces create a warm, inviting atmosphere. The combed plaster finish, brought to life by gentle grazing light, adds depth and movement. Champagne‑colored details, marble stoneware, and dark blue textured fabrics further refine the material composition.
The sales counter with an integrated consulting opportunity supports personal interaction, complemented by a lounge with comfortable seating in beige tones.
A defining architectural element is the reinterpretation of the brand logo as a graphic signature wall, featuring a generous halo‑lit Phi symbol.
The design concept was developed with great attention to detail and precise value engineering in collaboration with an interior fit-out and furniture manufacturing partner, and realised in a prototype space. Designed from the outset to be scalable, the concept can be seamlessly adapted to smaller formats such as shop‑in‑shop areas or corner backwalls, ensuring a consistent brand presence across all touchpoints.
