For the owner of a renowned gastronomy and lifestyle company, MACH was asked to design the kitchen and roof extension of his private apartment. The project met the high standards of functionality, design and quality with clear ideas and refined details.

With an almost four-metre-long workbench made of rustic oak, surfaces in matte Carrara marble and brass fittings, the kitchen becomes an elegant studio, where you can cook and dine together. The oven and food center are integrated into a cabinet made of service berry tree wood, which transforms into a library on the rear side.

A spiral staircase clad with wooden lamellas leads to the attic floor. Bathroom, dressing room and bedroom blend into each other and create the character of a spa hotel. A room-high mirror optically doubles the space of the bathroom while sliding mirrors in front of the window allow a view over the roofs of Zurich. One of the wardrobes in the dressing room is concealed behind an oak slatted wall, its interior surprises with two levels arranged behind each other. A second wardrobe lies behind tall bronzed mirrors that indirectly illuminate the room. The wooden slat wall extends further into the sleeping area and even includes a minibar in its rounded corner.
